Made two short flights today. First flight was to redo fuel consumption numbers to 2500' since I didn't like the data from flight #15. Second flight was to 5000' and descent to land to determine climb fuel consumption.
Both flights from runway 24 at KPYM had winds 260-280/12G20, V10, 23c/12c, 30.00", DA 1000, GTW 886#.
Had to linger an extra several minutes at 2500' for traffic to clear at KPYM to land.
TAC time :32, fuel used 7.5# or 1.25 gallons.
Second flight to 5000', TAC time :34, fuel used 10.3# or 1.72 gallons.
Forgot to turn on the CloudAhoy logging, so no data available from this flight, other than a text file from the AV8OR. I'll be trying both the iPad 1 with a Bluetooth DUAL gps and the Android beta version of CloudAhoy on a Galaxy tab 7.7 with internal GPS for comparison.
No flap t/o's and full flap landings. The tri-gear Onex handled the gusty winds well. Found a small power increase just before touchdown made for a softer landing.
Flight area still retricted by nearby TFR.
